On Monday 17 August 2026, Urban Voices Radio will be attempting something bold, historic and potentially very badly timed…
Our first proper live broadcast. 
And because launching a radio station apparently wasn’t chaotic enough, we’re doing it on Andrea’s 70th birthday, with the birthday girl herself joining Becky as co-host, alongside Sarah & Tez “Rav” Walker.
Expect music from across the decades, listener requests, birthday nonsense, family chaos, suspicious amounts of cake, the occasional wrong button, and at least one moment where somebody says:
“Becky… the mic’s still live.”
This is not polished commercial radio.
This is 4 people, a few microphones, an alarming number of cables, a mixer with far too many tempting buttons, and the deeply concerning possibility that we may be about to redefine British radio broadcasting. Or, at the very least, provide hours of evidence that Starfleet Command should never have handed us the bridge.
